Timpview Girls Lacrosse just started its season. They Have played 9 games so far. The team is really young with half of our players just starting this year. We interviewed two girls on the lacrosse team. Freshman Kenzie Hyde and junior Jill Freedman. They were able to give us some insights. We asked Freedman what her thoughts on the team were, She said that the team this year is, “Super fun and we have a really good group of girls.” Freedman also said, “we are pretty good considering how new our team is to lacrosse.” When asked if there was a message Freedman would like to send to her opponent she said. “Don’t mess with Timpview, we’re scary.”
Next, we asked Hyde what her first impressions were of the team as a newcomer. She said she feels like the team has a very inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. I asked Hyde what makes the team so welcoming. She says that the coaching staff has been a good example to the team as they are all “ very encouraging, and it gives the team more confidence to have a staff that believes we can win.” the lacrosse team is currently halfway through its season. I asked Hyde what she thinks the team can work better at this last half of the season. She says that the team is currently working on strengthening their confidence in their shooting. To make more goals and go into the next half of the season ready to win. The team is currently looking for their first win.
