The Timpview boy’s tennis team just finished a perfect season. They finished 18-0 and region champs. Timpview and Highland are the only two teams in 5a to go undefeated. The state tournament is this Thursday at Liberty Park with matches starting at 8am. And the second day of State is this Saturday May 18. The varsity lineup going into the state tournament is as follows.

1st Singles: Ryan Austin(10)

2nd Singles: Rowan Halladay(10)

3rd Singles: Braden Meier(11)

1st Doubles: Luke Clark(11) Joe Jurca(11)

2nd Doubles: Davis Gunnell(11) Danny Beutler(10)

We asked Joe Jurca about what he was excited about State. He said, “I’m looking forward to the competition. And I’m excited for the opportunity to bring the state title back to Timpview.”  When asked if there was a message Jurca wanted to say to his opponent he said. “We are the best.” We hope that the spewing confidence doesn’t lead to an early exit. But we wish the Tennis team the best of luck in bringing home another state championship.
