The first preseason football game for Timpview High School was a successful home game against Skyridge; the game ended with a Timpview win 33-29.
During the first quarter, Skyridge started with the ball and scored a touchdown with a good PAT. After the kickoff, the players quickly moved down the field. The first quarter ended with the T-Birds in possession on the ten yard line with Skyridge up 7-0.
Shortly after the start of the second quarter, senior Carson Rasmussen (#2) rushed to the 7 yard line. With a pass to junior Jaron Pula (#5) Timpview scored their first touchdown. Junior Luke Thornock (#37) has a good PAT to tie the game 7-7. Skyridge started on the 20 yard line with the T-Birds on defense. Skyridge struggled to gain yards but scored another touchdown with almost 6 minutes left in the second quarter. The PAT was good leaving the score 14-7. After starting on the 20 yard line, junior Kenan Pula (#3) caught a 40 yard pass from Rasmussen (#2). Another 40 yard pass was made to score a touchdown and a good PAT to tie the game at 14-14. The kickoff was caught by a Skyridge player to score a touchdown with a two point conversion, making the score 22-14. Skyridge scored another touchdown with less than a minute left of the second quarter with a great PAT. The second quarter ended at 29-14 with Skyridge in the lead.
The third quarter was low scoring except with a little over a minute left in the last quarter, a fumble return scored Timpview a touchdown with a good PAT, adding up to 21-29. The third quarter ended at 29-21, Skyridge up.
When there were about nine minutes left in the game, Timpview caught an interception and made a huge run towards the end zone. After a few attempts, junior Aisa Galeai (#0) scored a rushing touchdown. The 2-point conversion was not perfect but Skyridge player #60 was ejected from the game. In the last minute, the T-Birds were within the 11 yard line to score. With less than 10 seconds left, a touchdown was caught by Jaron Pula (#5). The two point conversion was unsuccessful, but the score was enough to seal the game for the T-Birds.
