Timpview Soccer Defeats Salem Hills 5-1

The Timpview girls’ soccer team secured a decisive 5-1 victory over Salem Hills at home field tonight.

Salem Hills initially took the lead with a penalty kick early in the first half. However, Timpview freshman Claire Badger equalized with 19 minutes remaining in the half. Badger then added a second goal shortly after, when her shot slipped past the Salem Hills goalkeeper, giving Timpview a 2-1 advantage with 15 minutes left in the first half.

In the second half, Timpview extended their lead with a goal 20 minutes in, making it 3-1. Badger continued her standout performance by scoring her third goal with 18 minutes remaining, pushing the score to 4-1. In the final minute, sophomore Kate Bergeson added another goal, capping off the match and securing Timpview’s second win of the season.

The victory highlights Timpview’s strong performance and resilience, as they look to build on this momentum in their upcoming games.
