Timpview swept Cedar Valley in a Three-Set Game on Tuesday Sep 10. Last night, it seemed like everything was clicking for Timpview. They came out firing in the first set. Everything was clicking for every player as Timpview won the first set 25-9. The second set Cedar Valley fought back very hard, having the set tied 18-18. Timpview responded with a 7 point run to win the set 25-18. Cedar Valley wasn’t going away after being down 0-2. They came out with a lot of energy and momentum even being down. They were not trying to be shut out on the road. Cedar Valley stayed steady throughout the third set. Keeping it super close and even being up 3 points once. It just wasn’t enough to keep them from beating Timpview. Timpview stayed resilient and focused and Timpview won the third set 25-19.
After the game we talked to Senior Captain and setter, Samara Hopoate. She said, “We won! …but the game got kinda boring”. She went on to add, “ are serve-receive was off, so we weren’t able to run many plays”. Even with not being able to run plays, they were able to sweep Cedar Valley. This propels Timpview to 7 wins on the season, and 2-0 in region. Timpview’s next matchup is against Maple Mountain on Thursday. We wish Timpview Women’s Volleyball the best of luck for the rest of their season!
