Timpview took on Hurricane Tuesday night in the Thunderdome. Coming into the match Timpview was 8-5 and Hurricane came in 11-4. Hurricane is currently ranked #15 in Utah, according to Max Preps. They are also ranked #4 in 4A, according to UHSAA RPI.
This was a very close game throughout. Even though this is not a region game, for both teams this is a must win to improve their standing in the RPI. Both teams came ready to play. But Timpview was barely able to edge out Hurricane in the 1st set winning 25-21.
Hurricane was not going to back down, they kept a steady pace throughout the 2nd set. But Timpview narrowly won the 2nd set 25-23. Hurricane was very consistent throughout the match. They kept the same attitude. Hurricane was able to win the 3rd set 25-22 which gave Hurricane more life. Timpview was unaffected. Timpview stepped on the gas, and easily won the fourth and final set 25-16. This was able to secure the match for Timpview, and help them improve to 9-5 on the season. Timpview’s next match is against Salem Hills on Thursday back in the Thunderdome.
