You may have seen various forms of leopard print or cheetah print coming back into style. Whether it’s shoes, pants, or a top, it seems to be the new trend. It is implemented into style everywhere. It seems to becoming more popular by the day!
Vogue Magazine was on top of the trend releasing an article written by Hannah Jackson called The Leopard Print Revival is Upon Us at the beginning of this year. She wrote, “The proliferation of animal print is a major sign of its second coming.” In the fashion industry, cheetah print has always been in style but has become a bolder choice in the past months. Whereas in Timpview’s day to day style, it has made a comeback in several ways. When asked what they thought about leopard print, Senior Anistyn Barber said “Cute! It’s a timepiece” While Senior Zack Russ said “It’s not for me, you could get away with it” he added, “When girls wear it I think it’s fine”. It seems to be more of a women’s style than anything, but like Zack said, you could get away with it!
So what’s the best way to wear it? I personally have some cheetah print jeans and I love them. I have also seen some leopard print sneakers that are an easy but cute way to wear the print. Senior Jillian Freedman said “I like to wear a basic outfit- like all black with some leopard print.” If you’re going to wear such a bold print as leopard print, there might be only one way to go on the rest of your outfit- basic. I will say though, some people can pull off an eccentric look.
While the majority may like it, there are people who don’t agree with the trends. Junior Jojo Boots said “I like it, but don’t wear it a lot.” When asked why, she said, “It’s one of those things that is hard to style and I think will go out of style soon.” It is a bold style choice, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it went out soon. Whether you like it or not, cheetah print is trending right now.
