The Timpview girls soccer team beat Woods Cross in a close 3-2 game. This win advances the team to the next round of the state tournament.
Timpview quickly took the lead, scoring three goals in the first half by senior Alora Taylor (#3), junior Ellie Robertson (#6), and freshman Claire Badger (#17).
The second half was more of a challenge as Woods Cross scored two goals, almost tying the game. However, the T-Birds were able to hold the opposing team off and secure the win.
Senior Sophie Bateman (#2) shared her thoughts on the game, stating “I’d say the game went great and we are so excited to move on to the next round! We have lots of hope to keep going and we’re going to keep working hard to hopefully come out with a state win!”
Timpview will play #1 seed Olympus on Tuesday, October 14 at 4 pm. This game is an important one, so we invite everyone to support the girls soccer team in their pursuit for the state title.
