Timpview Football had a successful 35-0 win against Maple Mountain on October 10. The team was performing at its peak, with the offense scoring many touchdowns and the defense catching interceptions.
No points were scored by either team during the first quarter, but Timpview stepped it up during the second quarter. Senior Carson Rasmussen (#2) scored the first touchdown with a successful PAT, making the score 7-0. Soon after, senior Chevas Gregory (#22) and junior Jaron Pula (#5) scored two more touchdowns, bringing the score up to 21-0 to end the second quarter. Cheer, Dance Company, and Marching Band all performed at halftime. Rasmussen was able to score another rushing touchdown and throw a passing touchdown to senior Zedekiah Anahu-Ambrosio (#7) in the second half, making the final score 35-0.
Timpview football is notorious for many things: Its long list of college recruits, its “dawg-style” offensive line, and mostly, its dedicated student section. The roars of fanatical Timpview Football fans can be heard throughout the stadium and neighborhoods around. The team had a glorious 35-0 win with its devoted fan base cheering louder than ever.
As the end of the season comes up, the team is confident in their chances at another state title. Standing in their way however, are the Orem Tigers. The T-birds play them next week, but they feel good about their chances. “Our team chemistry is working really well,” says sophomore Koa Giles (#81), “If we do everything I think we can do next week, then I think we can take down the Tigers.” We wish the T-Birds the best of luck at their game next week against Orem, show up to support them!
