In a heartbreaking game last night, Timpview Girls Soccer lost to No. 1 seed Olympus 7-1. With multiple players out because of injuries, the T-Birds were unable to beat the Titans, making this the end of the road for Timpview’s team.
Olympus quickly scored a goal but Timpview responded and sophomore Ava Badger (#16) was able to score a goal for Timpview. Olympus later scored on a penalty, discouraging the T-Birds, and Olympus scored three more goals in the first half, making the score 5-1. In the second half, Olympus scored two more goals, making the final score 7-1. After a tough fight, the T-Birds are out of the state tournament.
Senior Liv Sanchez (#10) said that “overall, this season was tough but we played so many amazing games. I’m so proud of us for how we have progressed.” Good job to Timpview Girls Soccer for a super successful season, and making it to the state tournament.
