Sadies, one of two dress-up dances at Timpview, is an exciting time to show off creative Halloween costumes. Whether it be a group costume, a couple’s costume, or just a fun outfit to wear stag, it’s always enjoyable to see what your peers come up with. This year at Sadies, there were many fun and creative costumes, some completely original, along with some favorites. Here are just a few of Timpview’s top Sadies costumes.
Wild Kratt’s
Inspired by a popular cartoon television show from the 2010s, Wild Kratts follows brothers Chris and Martin Kratts as they explore the animal kingdom. They use their Creature Power suits to transform into different animals and learn about their behaviors and habitats. This fun and nostalgic costume from childhood brought joy to many Timpview students.
Gru and Vector (Despicable Me)
Gru’s bald head and pointy nose, along with Vector’s neon orange “track suit” made this couples’ costume a fun nod to the Despicable Me franchise. Although the costume has become a popular mainstay at many halloween parties, this couple brought much laughter to the Sadies dance, as well as the various iterations of this same costume seen roaming the halls of Timpview brightening many a dance attendees night.
Victorious Group Costume
Victorious, a popular comedic television show from the early 2010s, followed the lives of high school students at a performing arts school. The episode Sleepover at Sikowitz highlights the dynamics of these students in a comedic way. One group at Sadies dressed up as the characters from this episode, making for a fun, original costume. At first, many were unsure of the reference, but with a little explaining, it became one of the favorite costumes seen at the dance.
Tom Fell and Momi Tu’ua
Not a costume you could find at your local Spirit Halloween store, but a creative take on some of the faculty here at Timpview. Momi Tu’ua, principal of Timpview high school, and Tom Fell, assistant principal, sparked a creative costume idea for two students. One couple dressed up as Timpview administrators which brought about a giggle and some confusion to students. Definitely a costume to be remembered!
What costumes do you want to see this Halloween, and at next year’s Sadies dance?
