Dean Rueckert is a rising basketball sensation arising from Provo, Utah. The junior, according to Prep Hoops, is the #1 ranked player in the 2026 class in Utah. Rueckert is a talented 6’7 guard and lockdown defender that can shoot and  distribute. Rueckert is also a promising D1 prospect to come out of Timpview as he has earned 4 stars.

Dean holds offers from Weber State, UNLV, Utah Valley University, Washington State, University of Utah, Washington, Brigham Young University, Stanford, and University of California. All of these offers came before his Junior year had even started. With such a promising future, it is expected that Rueckert will have many more offers to come.

A lot of these offers come from Dean’s time with Summer basketball playing for a team called the Utah Prospects. This club team is full of some of the best basketball players from Utah, making it the perfect place for Rueckert. This team competes with and beats many of the top players and teams in the nation. The Utah Prospects won the 3SSB championship back to back years. Recently they switched to a new league called EYBL, which is sponsored by Nike and has many more top teams in the nation. To be in this league, you have to be an elite basketball player. Dean Rueckert strives on the Prospects which goes to show how good of a player Dean is.

This year, Timpview has a very promising, young team which is loaded with members of the junior class. Timpview has made it  far into the state tournament the last 2 years with Dean on the team. They are hoping to finally win the state championship this school year with Dean leading the Timpview basketball team.

Dean has a very promising future and much to look forward to. This season, Rueckert, player #1 on the team, will be a player to keep an eye on. We wish the basketball team the best of luck in their upcoming season.
