On November 18, at approximately 10:40 am, a car collision occurred between two Timpview students. The crash happened on Quail Valley Drive. Luckily no one was seriously injured, however, there was significant damage to both vehicles. At this time we do not have a complete story, however, there are eyewitness accounts of what occurred.
According to a Timpview student, an SUV was driving down Quail Valley Dr, when out of nowhere a green sedan pulled out of the Timpview parking lot right in front of it. The SUV t-boned the sedan, unintentionally, as there was no time to react, causing glass to fly and much damage to both vehicles. The driver of the green sedan suffered minor scrapes to the hands, however both drivers were not seriously injured. The green sedan was predictably totaled as it was towed away from the accident. There is still no information as to what the state of the SUV is, but the cost of the damage will be much.
Another student believes that the green sedan must have had a hard time seeing the incoming SUV because of the various cars parked on the side of the road. Some of these cars were sticking out from the curb and possibly made it difficult for the driver to see incoming traffic.
Driving is a privilege, however, it is also a great responsibility. When you are driving a car you are in charge of your own safety and the safety of others around you.
