Recently I found myself wondering what I was going to do during Christmas break this year. I complied a list of activities that I wanted to complete by the time break was over, and thought it would be fun to share!
- Skiing at resorts in Utah: Utah has some of the best snow in the world and 15 ski resorts. One of my favorite things to do with my friends when I’m bored is to ski resorts that I’m not familiar with and learn the mountain.
- Seeing the lights at Riverwoods: The Shops at Riverwoods have amazing Christmas lights to see along with visits from Santa. While there, you can do some shopping at stores like Lonely Ghost or Soel Boutique, or even grab a bite at one of their many restaurants.
- Ice skating in Heber: You can always ice skate at the Peaks Ice Arena in Provo, but skating in Heber is on another level as it is outdoors and lit up. It takes about 3 hours to drive up, ice skate, and come back.
- Sledding at the Rock Canyon Park: Although you’ve got to look out for some poles, sledding at rock canyon park is one of my favorite things to do in the winter. Not only is it fun, it’s actually a pretty good workout because you are walking up a hill every couple minutes.
- Making gingerbread houses: This is one of my favorite holiday activities. My favorite gingerbread house kits are found at Trader Joe’s. I like to buy different candies to make the decorating process more creative and fun. One thing to remember is that when you hot glue gingerbread houses, they are much easier to decorate.
Make this holiday season fun! There are so many more activities to participate in, just be creative! There are less than 2 weeks until school is out. Happy holidays!
