Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite, has decided to bring back the classic POI Tilted Tower. On December 6th, 2024, Fortnite decided to leave the “OG” game mode permanently, exciting many fans to return back to the nostalgic seasons. The game creators also teased that they’ll be bringing back some more loot and other popular locations.

Does this mean players will be getting Shifty Shafts or Lucky Landing? In the picture released by Epic Games, it shows the Black Knight, which is rumored to hit the Item Shop very soon. Tilted Towers has seen multiple different styles like Neo Tilted, Tainted Towers, Tilted Town, Salty Towers, etc. So, it will be interesting to see what the creators decide to do with the new update.

Some Timpview students were asked what they thought about the new update to Fortnite OG. Senior Leo Auernig said,  “Tilted is a big spot on the map. A lot of people are gonna drop in there. I think a lot of people are going to improve because of this update. A lot of people are really going to get screwed by dropping Tilted. It’s going to be the Wild West out there.” Leo was very enthusiastic about the new update, which is good to see.

Cooper Hansen also had something to say about the new update. “Fortnite OG brings back a lot of nostalgia,” he said, “and it’s just great for the community in general. It will make me reminisce about the nostalgia of Tilted Towers. It will also bring back a lot of experiences that are hard to get back.” With this statement, we are glad that players will be able to bring back good memories and nostalgia to avid players.

This update is set to happen on January 30, 2025. So, by January 31, you’ll be able to play the new update. From asking Timpview students, we have only received positive feedback from the details about the update. So, it is clear that most players are awaiting the update, especially with the popular return of Tilted Towers. However, we wish that Tilted Towers will be a great experience for all players, and not just for the sweats in the game.
