The boys’ basketball All-Region Teams have been announced. Timpview finished with two players on the First Team, one player on the Second Team, and four All-Region Honorable Mentions. This is a significant honor and accomplishment for these members of the team. Here are the Timpview players that are on the teams:

- Aisa Galeai
- Mason Ford
This is Rueckert’s third consecutive year making the All-Region list. He was named to the Second Team his freshman year, the First Team his sophomore year, and this year he was given the honor to be the Region 7 MVP and Utah State 5A Player of the Year.
For Openshaw, this is his first year being on the All-Region team, after being named an honorable mention last season. When asked about how he felt about being named to the First Team and his improvement over the past year, he said, “I don’t really think about it too much, but it motivates me because it sets a standard that I know I need to keep in order to get better.” Openshaw has one of the best work ethics on the team and has shown some of the greatest improvements to his game among all players. He knows that his personal improvement can only help the team, motivating him to keep working hard and getting better.
Rueckert and Openshaw led the team in four different categories, including points, rebounds, field goal percentage, and blocks. Rueckert led in points and field-goal percentage, while Openshaw led in rebounds and blocks.
Callen Tollestrup, who was an honorable mention last season, was named to the All-Region Second Team. When asked about how he feels about this accomplishment, Callen said, “It feels really good to start to see my hard work pay off. It motivates me to keep my head down and keep grinding to try and win a state championship.” For Callen, it’s not just about himself but also about how he can help the team continue to grow and improve.
