Israel “Izzy” Ingle has accepted a new job as the Head Coach for basketball at Lone Peak High School.
Ingle became Timpview Basketball’s head coach in 2021, and has held the position since. Before 2021, he worked at Timpanogos as a coach. After 4 years at Timpview, working as a coach, Health, and Athletic Skills Development teacher, Coach Izzy has decided to accept a new job.
As of today, April 18, Israel Ingle has taken the job at Lone Peak as their Head Coach for basketball. In his departure announcement, he stated that he has “loved [his] time at Timpview” and he is “extremely grateful for the relationships [he’s] built here.” Additionally, he thanked the Timpview community, including the administration, parents, players, coaches, and students. Izzy said that he is “excited for this new chapter at Lone Peak” and to “get started adding to the rich basketball tradition at LPHS.”
This is bittersweet news for all the members of the Timpview community. Coming down from the 2024-2025 basketball season, Coach Izzy was celebrated for his accomplishments and dedication to the boys team. He said that he was “proud of the team and the season we had.” And as of now, there is no news on who the next basketball Head Coach at Timpview will be. This change in team will change the dynamics and play a big role in the upcoming season.
On Izzy’s departure from Timpview, basketball player Mason Ford said that he and the team are sad he left as they “had a lot of good memories with him and he made us much better. The team and I understand that the situation was better for him, and we are excited for a new coach. Hopefully Coach Izzy is successful at Lone peak and we wish him the best of luck.”
