Timpview’s parking situation has undergone yet another drastic change. While staff and students are grateful for more parking space, Timpview administration has enacted new parking rules on the expanded lot.
Faculty are designated the first two rows of the upper parking lot along with exclusive faculty parking on the north side of the building. Students are designated the rest of the parking spaces in the upper lot, and spots on the south end of the building.
Students should’ve received a parking pass from the main office after August 18th. Passes were administered to seniors who applied before August 15th, and the rest of Timpview students were entered into a raffle. Parking passes are required to park in all Timpview lots. Although passes are limited, the main office is reevaluating the current parking spaces and may administer more after Labor Day.
Timpview’s short on parking passes, but spots are as available as ever. Students report a surplus of spots throughout the day, so you can sleep in a few extra minutes without worrying about grabbing a spot.
School police officers began ticketing this week, so make sure you’re parking safely and on the streets if you don’t have a parking pass.
