Right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed At Utah Valley University on Wednesday September 10, at around 12:10 pm.
The shot reportedly came from approximately 200 yards away striking Kirk in the neck. Moment after Kirks security carried him away and rushed him to the hospital.
At the moment Kirk’s condition is unknown. Police have reported that they do not have a suspect in custody at this time. Utah Valley University has closed down the campus and cancelled all classes.
According to reports from CNN Kirk was answering a question about mass shooters in America when he was shot.
President Trump and Vice President Vance have sent their prayer to Kirk and his family. Kirk was on the first stop of his ” Prove Me Wrong Tour ft. Charlie Kirk.”
He was set to visit more colleges and university in the coming months.
Update: President trump has announced Charlie Kirk’s death in a statement saying “The great, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the heart of the youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melanie and my sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
Update: The FBI has released a photo of who they believe the shooter might be at the time. They captured the individual on CCTV cameras on campus entering the building the shot was believed to come from not long before the event began and leaving soon after the shot was fired. The FBI has asked for help in finding the individual in the photos as he is still at large. Officials have found what they believe to be the rifle used to shoot Kirk. According to officials there are markings on the rifle and ammunition of phrases related to social issues.
