Dissapointing Loss to Woods Cross Ends Thunderbirds Season

Dissapointing+Loss+to+Woods+Cross+Ends+Thunderbirds+Season

After Timpview’s 28-24 loss to the Woods Cross Wildcats on Friday, October 27, Coach Cary Whittingham expressed disappointment: “This team had a lot more potential than that,” said the coach. “We didn’t make enough plays tonight.” Whittingham also gave credit to the winning team, saying, “Hats off to Woods Cross.”

Timpview put the first points on the board with a 17 yard run by senior Jacob Bosco. The T-Birds fought hard throughout the game, but their six turnovers were too much to overcome in the end.

When they realized their last high school football season was about to end sooner than they expected, many senior players became emotional. Certainly this was not the note these hard-hitting seniors wanted to end on, but Timpview students and fans alike have commended them for their years of dedication and teamwork regardless of their last performance.

As the game clock hit zero on Friday night, Timpview’s faithful expressed their appreciation with chants and cheers. Despite what to many feels like a disappointing end to another incredible Timpview football season, Coach Whittingham and his Mighty Thunderbirds deserve kudos, as always.
