Timpview’s Halloween contest will surely go down in history. There were so many amazing costumes, and picking just a few winners proved a real challenge for our Journalism team. Winners of the Funniest Costume included a group of very brave and resourceful juniors. Aiden Brimley, Ty Deucher, Finnbar Williams, Nate LeMonnier, Colin Michie, Connor Helquist, Isaac Hudson, and Atticus Hydrick all dressed up as Timpview cheerleaders. The winners for Scariest Costume were seniors Hannah Johnson and Bradon Radle dressed as characters from the popular horror/adventure video game Little Nightmares. Our winner for Most Effort was senior Hallie Boone, who came dressed as Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano, complete with a headpiece made of paper mache, insulation spray and cardboard. The whole look was topped off with two very real-looking lightsabers. The winner for overall Best Costume was senior Stephanie Hansen, dressed as Jack Sparrow. With a wig that closely mirrored Sparrow’s hair, glued on facial hair, and a hand-made outfit, the resemblance was uncanny. All our participants brought their A-game, each contributing to the fresh legacy of Timpview High School Journalism’s Annual Halloween Costume Contest.
