The 2025 Emmy Awards were held on September 14 at the Peacock Theater located in Los Angeles, California. The Emmys happen multiple times each year and are to honor artistic and technical achievements in the TV industry. There were a variety of looks that were pictured on the red carpet. Here are some ones that stood out to us the most.
Sarah Katherine Hook: Best known for her role in The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Sarah Katherine Hook showed up wearing Miu Miu paired with Cartier Jewelry. Though this look may be very simple, stylist, Jordan Johnson, did a great job in making her pop. Her haircut, a short straight bob, is definitely what pulled this look together. Even though others may think this look is far too simple for such a big event like the Emmys, I absolutely love it and it is one of my favorites I’ve seen so far.
Jenna Ortega: Jenna Ortega is a huge actor who has starred in hit movies such as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Scream VI. She also starred in the hit Netflix series Wednesday. Jenna Ortega took a gothic spin on “naked dressing”. The outfit was made by Givenchy and it is reminiscent of a bundle of modesty-preserving necklaces worn by Isabella Rossellini in the 1992 cult classic “Death Becomes Her.” It is the most talked about look from the Emmy’s and in my opinion I understand exactly why!
Lisa: Lisa is part of the girl group Blackpink and she also makes her very own music. She wore a Lever Couture cotton candy pink slit-gown designed and handcrafted by Lessja Verlingieri. Her gown gave us a fairy tale vibe, the sheer pink fabric was beautifully wrapped around her shoulders and tailing behind her. Lisa accessorized her dress with a Bvlgari’s choker, she wore a bracelet and ring from the same brand. The shoes she wore were the cherry on top, she wore a sparkling pair of Christian Louboutin’s pointy toe pumps. This look was a show stopper for the whole night as she is said to have one of the top outfits from the Emmy’s 2025.
Joella Dynasty: After starring on the most recent season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, drag queen Joella questionably walked the red carpet in her custom-made Labubu costume. She dressed her adult-sized, faux fur, Labubu in a Chinese dress, holding a Chinese takeout box handbag. “Hi! It’s the slay-sian Labubu,” Joella said on the Emmys carpet. This debatable look was designed by Laren Rose with the finishing makeup by DeAngel Monroe. Although there are many mixed opinions, I respect her for celebrating her Chinese identity in a unique, new way!
