Late last night, September 17th, officials from Provo School District sent out an email informing parents and students about the cancellation of Timpview’s homecoming assembly once again. Earlier on the 17th, Provo Police Department reported a potential threat on social media and communicated this to the Provo School District board. Police have found the source of the threat, making contact with the individual, but believe it to not be a credible threat. No information is released on what the threat was or who made the threat, and officers also report that the culprit hasn’t been arrested. The Police Department will provide more details being released as the case moves on. With that being said, law enforcement will take extra caution while patrolling across Timpview campus today, September 18th. This story will be updated as more information is released.
