The Timpview Thunderbirds will face off against Maple Mountain Tonight at 7 in Mapleton in another region 7 showdown. The Thunderbirds are coming into the game 2-3 after defeating Payson and Wasatch at home.
The Maple Mountain Golden Eagles are led by Junior Wide Reciever Brooks Ross, who is averaging 72.4 yards a game. This comes along with 4 touchdowns, making him the leader in scoring for the Golden Eagles. The Maple Mountain Defense is led by DB Kael Anderson, who is averaging 7.6 tackles per game. He is backed up by Uhila Wolfgramm on the defensive line. He will be the biggest priority for the Timpview offensive line, running 3.5 sacks per game. Dennis Tua ‘One’s Scramble ability will make the job much tougher for the Maple defensive line. Along with Braxton Wilkerson’s speed and toughness at the wide receiver spot to pick up big plays. The Maple Mountain defense will have their hands full with those two.
