Timpview girls Volleyball gears up to face Woods Cross in the second round of state on Wednesday (Oct 29) at Utah Valley University at 9 am. The Thunderbirds are coming into the match up with a 15-13 record after a solid win against the Hunter Wolverines last week.
Seniors Livi Eyre and Avery Poulton will be the key players in this match up. Livi leads the T-Birds with 162 kills, 128 digs, and 155 receptions on the year, and is looking to add to them on Wednesday. Avery Poulton of Woods Cross has shined all year and is sure to give the T-birds problems, recording 346 kills and 232 digs this season. The Thunderbirds are looking to pull off the upset of a one seed on Wednesday, but will need to bring their best as Woods Cross has lost only once this year.
It’s sure to be an exciting game with big kills, digs, and serves from both teams.
