The Utah Legislature is planning to remove your phones from your hands during the school day. But the addition of new screens in the hallways could mean you’ll be looking up instead of down for your information. 

In a recent interview with Tom Fell, an Assistant Principal here at Timpview High school answered questions about the new TVs surrounding the halls.

Q: Utah is trying to cut down on screens in schools, so why did we decide to bring in more?

A: The reason for this is, it’s signage to keep things clean in the school. We want things uniform. 

Q: What will primarily be shown on the TVs?

A: It will be announcements. That’s upcoming events, weekly events. That’s basically what it will be for.

Q: Where did we get the funding for the TVs?

A: The district office, and we’ve been saving for a while for this.

So make sure to look up in the halls to catch what’s happening; whether it’s a school dance or a reminder for your next club meeting. Now it’s time to get your head out of your phone and get a birds-eye view of what’s happening at Timpview.
