Rumors have been circulating at the school about Timpview’s 2024 Prom. Traditionally, Prom has been held at the Provo library, and only Juniors and Seniors can attend. Rumor has it that underclassmen will be allowed to attend Prom this year. There was also talk about the dance on the Timpview football field. I interviewed a previous student government member, Nick Gerstner, to see if these rumors were true. 

Gerstner reported that underclassmen will be allowed to attend Prom this year. Not only that, it will also be held on the Timpview football field. He stated that the Provo library was too small to hold Prom this year, even though it’s been held there for many years. Now you may be thinking, what about the promenade? The promenade has traditionally been held in front of the Provo Library on the large staircase. This year, it will be held on the ‘learning stairs’ under construction located in ‘The Great Hall.’

This news has sparked great controversy with students divided on the details. Some are supportive and others are not happy. Check back often to find out as more details are revealed.
