Timpview’s Drama department has dedicated the past month and a half to rehearsing for their highly anticipated fall musical, Seussical. As the opening night approaches, the cast has actively engaged in promotional activities to generate excitement around the production. Their efforts include selling ads for the musical program, performing at the Homecoming assembly, and most recently, delighting local elementary school students with a sneak peek of the show.
Touring at 5 primary schools, the Seussical cast presented a 25-minute medley that showcased a variety of musical numbers from the production. The selected songs included:
- Oh, The Thinks You Can Think
- Biggest Blame Fool
- Mayzie in Palm Beach
- All for You
- Here on Who
- Alone in the Universe
- It’s Possible
- Green Eggs and Ham
This lively and diverse medley served as an engaging teaser, designed to capture the imaginations of younger audiences and get them excited about the upcoming Seussical workshop in November, as well as the performances scheduled from November 14-19.
The cast had the opportunity to perform at five local schools: Provost, Rock Canyon, Centennial, Edgemont, and Canyon Crest. The positive response from the students was encouraging, with many expressing enthusiasm for both the workshop and the full production.
As Timpview’s Drama department continues to prepare for Seussical, the cast is ready to bring the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss to life and hopes to inspire audiences of all ages.
