Salt Lake City police officers have reported a shooting at a funeral outside of an LDS church in Salt Lake County earlier tonight, January 7th.
Police have stated that two people are confirmed dead and six are injured. Of the six injured, three are in critical condition.
There are both police and medical vehicles on the scene on Redwood Road. Officers have closed the section of the road where the incident occurred for investigative purposes.
Police officers are engaged in an active manhunt for a suspect who was seen fleeing the crime scene. The Salt Lake City police department is still trying to determine if there were multiple suspects.
