Timpview took down the Orem Tigers 72-53 on Tuesday (Feb. 3) for the second win this year against Orem High, extending their record to 18-2. The 19 point win ends a dominant rivalry in favor of the T Birds for this 2025-26 season.
Senior Lincoln Holcombe led the team in scoring, contributing 23 points. Senior Will Openshaw also added a notable 20 points and 7 rebounds to propel the Thunderbirds to victory. While Orem successfully held Senior Dean Rueckert to only 10 points, ultimately his contribution was not the only way for Timpview to win. This matchup highlighted the depth of the Timpview roster, showing that, while he makes a massive contribution, Rueckert is not the sole reason for the T Birds success.
Timpview faces Spanish Fork next on Friday (Feb 6) at Spanish Fork High and aim to continue their amazing success they have experienced so far.
