The Timpview T-Birds fell to Skyridge 62–47 on Tuesday night at Skyridge, putting Timpview’s season record to 0–3. Despite the loss, the T-Birds showed promise, with glimpses of something special on both ends of the floor.
Junior guard Bella Ballin set the tone with her hustle and energy, sparking the offense by attacking the lane and keeping the ball moving. Her ability to create opportunities helped Timpview stay within reach as the game unfolded. The team also showed flashes of strength in the half-court, using smart cuts and well-timed screens to generate open shots. Afterward, Bella shared her thoughts, saying, “It’s a long season. We’ll clean some things up, but we’re headed in the right direction.” Her calm outlook reflects a strong sense of belief within the locker room.
On the defensive end, Timpview displayed grit, contesting drives and disrupting Skyridge’s rhythm whenever possible. They successfully clogged passing lanes and forced tough looks early, but as the game progressed, Westlake’s inside presence and second-chance points began to take over. Even so, Timpview showcased encouraging teamwork and sharper on-court communication than expected for an opening matchup against a powerhouse opponent.
With clear areas of growth and plenty of upside, Timpview moves forward with confidence. By tightening their defensive discipline and continuing to build trust on offense, the T-Birds are positioning themselves for a stronger showing in their next contest.
