After winning a nail-biter against Orem, Timpview faced the team that beat them in the championship last year, Alta. With Alta having all of its players returning from last year, this was to be the toughest game yet for the T-Birds. Up-and-coming Timpview Sophomores and Junior Corbyn Hansen gave it all they had to compete with the veteran Alta team. Timpview was up 10 going into Halftime with Sophomore Dean Rueckert putting up incredible numbers during the game having 18 points at the end of the first half.

Despite strong efforts from Rueckert and Sophomore Aisa Galea’i, Alta came back to win by 12, sending Timpview home for the season. Rueckert fouled out in the third quarter, putting Timpview down their top scorer. The T-Birds put a strong effort in the last minutes of the fourth, but a dunk from an Alta guard ended the game. Timpview had a fantastic season, going 19-7 for the season and making a run to the semi-finals. Great work T-Birds and good luck this off-season.
