Have you ever been to the library and met the amazing women over scholarships? That’s Cinda Morgan. Cinda along with Lauren, another college counselor, earned more than 5.1 million dollars in scholarships in the 2021-2022 school year. While working mainly with seniors she has scholarships for every grade, 9th-12th. Everything from a bookmark decorating competition to a short story about how you would survive a zombie apocalypse, there is more to scholarships than just writing essays.
Every year Lauren and Cinda call in all the seniors to work on their plans for after high school and, if they plan on going to college making it a much easier and smoother process. Along with talking to all the seniors they go to classrooms and talk about the scholarships coming up. Her room is currently in the library, in the glass rooms near the entrance to the teacher’s lounge, but her new room with be N-206 near the library in the new school building.
When asked what she wanted everyone to know she said, “I love to do one-on-one meetings with them or have them just come in and chat”. This amazing person has helped so many people with their college experience and you could be next.
