The school year is coming to an end, and people will need summer activities to do. There are lots of exciting activities every year in Utah during the summer. From hiking, boating, camping and festivals, there are lots of options for you to do this summer.
Utah is very known for their outdoor activities during the summer. Utah has many beautiful views especially over the lakes and mountains. There are so many different hikes to do all over Utah and it has become a beloved activity for residents. There are also more adventurous activities if that’s what you are into, such as tubing and boating. Residents and visitors go outside to hike trails, explore national parks, go camping and enjoy different water sports.
Utah does a very special thing where every city can have their own festivals on certain weeks. Provo does Freedom Festival; it is during June and July and celebrates the Fourth of July as the main event. It includes the Stadium of Fire, a grand Fourth of July parade, hot air balloon festival and Freedom Days. The biggest event is Stadium of Fire, which includes a huge firework show and concerts from well-known entertainers. In Pleasant Grove they do an annual summer festival that is held in June. It includes a rodeo, parade, carnival and local delicacies like strawberries and cream. It is Utah’s longest running celebration with this year being the 105th anniversary. Lots of people around the state come to the festivals to celebrate and have fun.
Overall, Utah has lots of different activities for all people to enjoy. There is something for everyone, no matter your interests and hobbies. Utah is definitely the place to be during the summer with the festivals, carnivals, celebrations of the Fourth of July and amazing outdoor activities.
