Timpview is known for its outstanding athletic and academic output in the state of Utah. Over the last decade, Timpview has excelled and dominated in all sports. The credited success goes to all the coaches and players. The community is behind every sport and has continued to back up the Thunderbirds in every aspect. However, the unsung heroes of support and help are the Timpview High cheerleaders. The Thunderbirds cheer squad has consistently supported Timpview sports at away and at home games. 

The Timpview Cheer team is led and coached by Timpview alumni, Zoe Hale. Mrs. Hale used to cheer at Timpview High and now is the current head coach of the cheer team. She is big on supporting the school’s sports teams and her team consistently shows up to cheer on Timpview sports. We had the chance to interview one of Zoe’s cheerleaders. Sammy Reeves is a senior and we asked her if they as a team collectively have fun cheering on every sport. She replied enthusiastically stating,” We feel like every sport they cheer for can win. I am very grateful to be able to cheer for Timpview.” When I asked if she felt like they had a chance to place this year in the cheerleader competitions, she replied,” Yes! I believe we have the chance to take it this year.” Everyone on the cheer team is really close and loves supporting all of Timpview sports. As a player on the football team, we love when the cheerleaders come and support our team. It encourages us to try our best when they come. It also helps us know we are supported and being rooted for!
