Timpview Football star wide receiver, Tei Nacua signed with BYU on College football early signing day on Dec. 21. “I want to thank my Father in heaven, my mother, and my siblings for creating a path for me to continue playing football and further my education at the next level, continuing the dream my father started with my older siblings not realizing that us younger boys would follow the legacy… Can’t wait to see y’all in LES.” Nacua keeps the tradition of Nacuas going to BYU as all four of his older brothers went to BYU. His oldest brother Kai was arguably the best safety of all time at BYU, as he totaled 14 interceptions, most since Derwin Gray in the 90s. Isaiah Nacua also went to BYU, And Samson and Puka both transferred to the Y before the 2021 season, both were pivotal receivers in the Cougars offense. During his high school career, Nacua totaled 120 receptions 1794 yards, and 18 touchdowns, and was a key factor in the 2023 state championship run, his biggest game coming in the state semi-finals where he had 195 yards and a touchdown. Nacua held competing offers from Hawaii, San Diego State, Utah State, Washington State, and Utah. Tei is the only receiver that has signed with BYU in the class of 2024. Tei will graduate early and enroll in BYU in January. We wish Tei the best of luck in the continuation of his football career!
