A$AP Rocky is a prevalent rapper, who gained fame with his rap group ASAP Mob and the release of his first mixtape, “Live Love ASAP”, in 2011. He released pretty consistently up until his album “Testing”, which was released in 2018. There were a couple singles and features here and there but no albums had been released, up until the announcement of ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ that was set to release in 2020.

Rocky had teased this release, but due to leaks and sample complications, the album was delayed. People began speculating that the album would never be released and fans began to lose faith. Rocky was quiet, playing a few festivals. Nothing happened until his performance at Camp Flog Gnaw, where the sleeve of his shirt had the date January 16th 2026 on it, teasing his new album. Later, he confirmed that this was the release date of ‘Don’t Be Dumb’.

As promotions began to roll out, he released the album cover, designed by filmmaker and artist Tim Burton. Later, Rocky released a single called ‘Punk Rocky’ with a music video starring actress Winona Ryder. The album releases in 8 days, and fans, like myself, are excited for this genre bending album.
