After the 20 plus live action remakes that Disney has produced, the company has finally decided to make a live action version of “Tangled.” The 2010 release will now hopefully have a new sister-movie to get Disney-heads excited about Tangled again. Disney hasn’t yet released a budget, but according to an artificial intelligence estimate, they are expected to spend around $200 – $300 million plus. Which is crazy because the budget for the original 2010 film was $260 million.
There has been buzz surrounding the new co-stars Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim, who will be playing Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. Teagan Croft is probably best known for her role in the show Titans. She is originally from Sydney, Australia, but moved to Chicago with her family. She also starred in the movie True Spirit, about the youngest person to sail around the world non-stop by herself. Milo Manheim is also a well known actor from the Disney movie series Zombies. He was also featured on the TV show Dancing With The Stars. As well as winning on the Mirrorball Trophy on Season 27 in 2018 with his partner Whitney Carson.
The original cast was a big hit, as the main stars were played by Mandy Moore (Rapunzel) and Zachary Levi (Flynn Rider). Mandy Moore is now 41 years old, and still a legend for her part as Rapunzel. As well as Zachary Levi, who is now 45 years old. The movie was a success as it made $592 million. This amount made it the eighth highest money making film of 2010.
While there isn’t an official release date yet, the movie seems to be doing well as they have cast two stars so far. And while the cast is looking great, the production team is also looking promising, because of director Michael Gracey, who directed The Greatest Showman. Kristen Burr, the producer, is also an amazing choice because of her past in producing movies such as Cruella, Freakier Friday, Christopher Robin, and more. The screen writer is also a major person, as she is known for co-writing some major hit movies.
