2025 has been a big year for Utah Concerts, with no shortage of familiar names. Mainstream artists like Post Malone, Noah Kahan, and The Lumineers have all performed in front of sold out crowds in the past year. With these large concerts over, and few to look forward to, fans are looking for other events to attend. Luckily for them, Kilby Block party just released its newest lineup for the infamous Festival in May.
Kilby Block Party is an annual music festival held in Salt Lake, primarily featuring new and upcoming indie rock bands. The Festival features a staggering 70 artists spread out over 3 days. While tickets will run you $250, they are good for all 3 days of the festival. Also, the sheer amount of artists you can see packed into 3 days makes the cost seem like a small price to pay.
Kilby Block Party has helped countless local bands like The Backseat Lovers, FlipTurn, and Ritt Momney break onto the local and national Indie scene. Since they first appeared at the festival, The Backseat Lovers have gone on sold out tours across Europe and the United States, ending with one sold out and another near sold out show this year in Salt Lake. This year the Festival is headlined by a household name, Lorde. Modest Mouse, The XX and Alex G are also very familiar names who will be performing. These more well known artists will help bring in the crowd for the countless other smaller artists performing at the festival. The festival will be a great opportunity for smaller artists like FlipTurn, The Moss, Ethan Regan, The Kilans and Briston Maroney to showcase their talents.
