Where do you work?

I work at Smash Dance Academy as a teacher’s assistant.

How long have you worked there?

I have worked there for three years now.

How did you get started at your job?

I got started because my teachers thought I was responsible enough to be able to manage and teach younger dancers.

What do you do during a normal shift?

During a normal shift, I demonstrate what the kids are supposed to be doing and I correct their mistakes.

 What do you like about your job?

I like being able to earn money from doing what I enjoy. I also like making relationships with these younger girls.

How many hours/days a week do you spend at your job?

I only work 2-4 hours a week.

 How do you balance schoolwork, extracurriculars, and a job?

I can balance it all by being smart about how I spend my time and not wasting opportunities to do homework.

What is the craziest story you have about your job? 

Nothing that crazy happens when I’m working

beside the youngest kids running around and screaming

Do you think your job will impact your life after high school? If so, how?

If I ever wanted to go into teaching dance in the future this is a good experience.

In your opinion, why should high schoolers have part-time jobs?

I think that high schoolers should have part-time jobs to get experience and build their resumes.
