Austin Reynolds Dreams Big

Aiec

Austin Reynolds is a junior at Timpview chasing dreams that most of us have had. The difference is that he’s fully and totally committed.

Under the name AIEC AUSTINS (pronounced “Ace”), Reynolds has set himself up for success on multiple platforms as a rapper and streamer. In 2015, he launched a Youtube channel. He posted a few videos but deleted them very soon after. In January 2017, he started posting some substantial content. The early days of the channel mostly saw Minecraft and Roblox videos, which he uploaded frequently through the end of that year. After two years of radio silence, he uploaded again on March 25, 2020 a couple of weeks after schools shut down due to COVID-19.  Entitled “REACTING TO KSI’S NEW ALBUM,” this video was much different than prior ones. The production value had gone noticeably up and followed a completely different formula than anything that had come before. Since then, he’s been uploading everything from gaming to reactions to cooking. He’s found remarkable success in the few years he’s been uploading, with his most viewed video at 2,700 views and his most viewed short at more than 107,000 views.

Since Reynolds’ first single in 2020, he’s released five singles and three albums. He made his first single, Clapback, with his cousin. Reynolds says he was the main person who got him inspired to make music. This song made his aspirations an attainable reality for him.

His most recent album Before the Sun Sets was released December 3 on his YouTube channel and is also available on Soundcloud. Featuring heavy synths and creative loops, he blends styles remarkably well. He writes lyrics, mixes, and masters himself. He has a team of producers that help him with his tracks.

Reynolds says his main musical inspirations are Kanye West, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Drake, Tory Lanez, and even people he’s collaborated with like Tasi and Keanine. He says he tries to find inspiration from lots of places because he wants to try lots of styles.

When asked about his goals with YouTube and with his music moving forward, Reynolds said, “This is a full career. I’m putting everything into this.”

Austin Reynolds has set himself up for success by starting early and is fully committed to his dreams of doing YouTube and music full-time. He has all the tools necessary to succeed, and, as he put it, “I only see it up from here.”
