The Weekly Review: Denim on Denim

About: We all know the iconic Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake denim red carpet outfits, correct? Or at least Rick Astley’s insanely popular denim-on-denim outfit in his Never Gonna Give You Up music video? Denim on denim was extremely popular during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. The trend disappeared for a while, although it has recently made its return. Many celebrities like Camilla Cabello, Dua Lipa, Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Hailey Bieber have been seen and photographed taking part in this hot trend.

Pros VS. Cons: Again, it’s hard to write pros and cons on a fashion trend without being biased. You should always wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in! However, a con to denim on denim can be that it can get extremely hot wearing that amount of denim…take it from someone with experience.

Personal Opinion: I absolutely love this trend. I think it is a great way to have such an effortless yet put-together and stylish look. I have heard many different opinions on this trend, but I definitely know where I stand with it. Try this one out if you haven’t!
