Many people question the number of outdoor activities during the winter months. Downtown Provo has many local businesses that will keep your winter months busy. One in particular is the Velour.

The Velour is a local concert venue located in the heart of downtown that suits all of your musical needs. From hard rock concerts to shoegaze functions, you’ll be bound to find something you love. The Velour also seeks to support the community by having local bands, singers and has designated open mics for anyone to play. Big bands such as Neon Trees credit the Velour as their home venue which helped launch their career.

Many people of our student body have played at the Velour as well. For example, Thomas Smith. Smith is a Senior here at Timpview and represents the student body as a Varsity Lacrosse player and musician. He played at the Velour numerous times playing with bands and solos. Smith also has an upcoming concert with his band soon. Make sure to be in the loop and support our fellow Timpview students!
